Meditation and Yoga

Group, private, corporate. My therapeutic classes are small and designed around the people in the class on the day. These are run by me and provide personalised care. Having trained in several styles I adapt the stretches/strengthening movements (Asana) to the body I am working with. Regular practice will advance your overall yoga practice by increasing your strength, mobility, breath and body awareness. I am fully trained in Hatha and Dru Yoga with regular trainings from a variety of teachers.

Classes contain Asana (stretch/strengthening movements); Pranayama (breath awareness & techniques); Meditation (.where you develop an inner state that is still and one-pointed so that the mind becomes silent); and Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation, a sequenced practice lying down whereby senses are slowed down and every part of the body relaxes the mind is awake).

Meditation: There are thousands of studies that have shown mindfulness meditation can positively impact mental and physical health. Whether it’s by reducing stress, improving sleep, increasing focus, or improving relationships, research shows meditation works.
